An important object of the invention resides in the provlsion of a screen structure having slidable sections which are easy to' adjust and will be easy to install in the window openings-of the car on the doors or sides claimed;

Another very important object of the in- I vention lies in the provision of means whereby the slidable connection between the sections will not afford access to flies or the like.

A still further very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a window screen of this nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, strong and durable, comparatively inexpensive to manu-' facture, thoroughly eflicient and reliable in use, easy to manipulate, light, compact and convenient and otherwise well adapted to the purpose for which it is designed.

'.With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of arts as will be hereinafter more fully descr' ed and In the drawing k Figure 1.is a fragmentary inside elevation of an automobile placed therein.

Referring to the drawing in detail it will ,be seen that the numeral 5 denotesan automobile door having the usual opening 6 I therein. Thisdoor opening 6 has been illus- 45 trated merely by way of example to show one use of the screen and of course the'screen is not limited'to this particular use in any way. Referring to the screen in detail it will be seen that the same comprises two sections having frames 7 and 8, the openings of which are covered with foraminou's screen material 9. The outer ends of the sections are formed with stop flanges 10. The upper and lower rails ofrthe frame 8 are provided with.

The frames 7 are constructed with wings 14 which project therefrom for the purpose of covering the exposed portions of the slots 11. These wings are preferably formed with slots 15 for receiving headed pins 16 from they are extended to a position such as is disclosed in Figure 3 or to further steady them when the sections are somewhat folded in overlapped relation in a relatively small window. The headed pins maintain the lower rails of the frame 8 as is clearly shown in Figure 2, thus preventing any flies and the like getting through the slots 11.

From the above detailed description'it will be seen that I have devised a screen which may be easily and quickly inserted in the opening 6 and taken therefrom. It will be seen that the screen is adjustable to fit different sizewindows. Itwill further be seen that the pin and slot connections between the sections are efficiently protected by the win s and the entire structure is strengthene by the wings andTassociated structure will also be noted-that the feature is simple, may be manufactured at a low cost, may be constructed strong and durable, and is very handy and light.

The present embodiment of the invention will now be clearly understood by those skilled in this artwithout a more detailed description thereof. This embodiment of the invention, however, has been disclosed in detailmerely by way of example since in actual practice it'attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description. It will be apparent that changes in the details" of construction, and in thecombination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages.
