I am aware that various types of threshold 7 Weatherstrips have been used at the bottom of doors held in closed position'b'y springs, etc., but I am not aware'that it'isiold to place i a eatherstrip in a vertical groove in the bottom edge of a door and secure the strip in such groove so thatit is freeto moveiverti cally therein and provide meansfor'holding the strip in the groove when the door'is open so that when the door is open the end of the" strip beyond its support and toward the free side of the door may drop by gravity below the plane of the threshold, whereby tllGzPOiIli]: of contact between the threshold and strip at the beginningof the closing of the door is of comparativelysmall area, which area increases until the door isfully closed, whereby the strip is the more easily moved .to op erative position without undue friction, and 9 when the door is fully closed the strip'loy gravityi moves to .jsealingrelation to the threshold. p
