A plication fii'eii ma 28,
This invention relates to a fireplace screen. The object of my invention is the production of an ornamental, usefuland efficient:
screen, for a fireplace, which will. prevent sparks or burning pleces of material from 'falling out of the fireplace onto the floor.
Another'object of the invention is the construction of a screening device-for a fireplace, which preferably has two roller units that are manipulated for closing the front of a fireplace with a fine wire or metal mesh, but which can be operated with ease for I placing the screening means out of the way,
leaving free access to the fireplace.
With the foregoing and other obgects in view, my invention comprises certainnovel constructions, combinations and arrangemerits of parts as will be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying taken on line 3, 3, Figure 1.
designates the tubular-like casings, connected in the appended claims.
; Figure 1 is a view in drawings, and more particularly pointed out Figure 4 is an enlarged sectional view taken on line4, 4, Figure 1,'and looking in the direction of the arrows, H Figure 5 is a sectional view taken on line 5, 5, Figure 3, and looking in the direction of the arrows.
Figure 6 is an enlarged, fragmentary seeone of the hangers. I Referring to the drawings by numerals, 1
tional view of the hollow track and part of v by a hollow slotted track 2. Each casing 1 is provided with alowerbearing device 3.
" The lower bearing device 3 (Fig. 3) comprises a threaded post5 that extends down into the plastic hearth 6, with nut 7 screwed on post 5 against the bottom 8 of the casing 1. Nut 7 is seated down in the hearth. A
bearing containing casing 9 is provided with 1929., suit ng-acacia ball bearings '10 (sil which air-10W *end tr mum-11 revolves. The u per end of po'st5.
