This invention relates to marking devices and has for its object the production of a device of this character adapted vto form line lines upon sheets of material, said device being particularly adapted for use in connection with printers line-up tables.V
This object is attained by the mechanism illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
Forthe purpose of illustrating the invention, one preferred form thereofis illustrated inthe drawings,qthis form .having been found to give satisfactory and reliable results, `although it is to be understood that the various instrumentalities of which the invention consists can be variously arranged and organized, and the invent-ion is not limited to the precisearrangement and organization of these instrumentalities as herein shown and described except as required by the scope of the appended claims.

In a device of the class described, a guide member; a straight edge; a framework adapted to travel along said guide member; a rotatable marker carriedV by said' framework; a support on said framework adapted to tiltrelatively thereto; a pin on said support about the axis of which said marker is adapted to rotate; a spring for tilting said support and retaining the marker in contact with said straight edge; and means for supplying marking material to said marker.
