My invention relates to improvements in toy telephones. g g i -An object of fmy invention 1s to a simple and useful toy. i

A further object of my invention isgto provide a toy telephone having a minimum number of parts. I a A further object of my invention is to provide a toy of the character described which may be produced at small cost.

I accomplish these objects by the device illustrated in the accompanying drawings, inwhich Figure 1 is an elevation of the device.

My improved toy preferably includes a cylindrical standard 1 mounted on a base 2, With a transmitter 3, a bell 4, hook 5, and receiver 6.2111 in simulation of a well known form of the telephone instrument.

The head section of the device is prefer- "ably constructed from the integral blank illustrated in Figure 3, and includes a cap portion 7, a hook portion 5, a transmitter support 9, and a bell support 10 all of which are cut out and bent'over' as hereinafter'described.

The transmitter support 9 includes a pair of integral counterpart leaves 11 and 12 joined at their base and having lugs 13, 14 to engage and carry the transmitter 3. Y

The bell vsupport 10 is bent over and I arched to seat thelug 10 in its seat 17 in the standard 1, and is provided with apertures 18, 19 whereby the bell 4,,may be attached in any desired manner.

The said blank forming the head section is preferably stamped out, as above described,.and folded in a'single operation by means of a'suitable machine adapted to perform the operation.

' '1. In 'a'toy telephone, a blank of sheet materialhaving' a cap, a support extending from the periphery of said cap substantially at right angles thereto and means on said cap and support for locking them together in said angled relation.

, 2. In a, toytelephone astandard, a'cap on -the standard,;an arcuate bell support connected to said cap andstandard, abell thereon, a plunger journaled thru saidbell and in said standardand said support,'clapper meanson saidplunger adjacent said bell whereby the bell maybe rung. V
