This invention relates to improvements in boxes and more particularly to metal boxes ott' my improved box in the closed position.

My improved box is preferably madeof sheet metal though it may be made of other materials'and the principal parts are the cover portion and the body portion 11,

Between the lid 10 and the body 11 is positioned the container 13 which is made from a single sheet of metal having the sides bent upwards to form the body of the container and having the slits l t on each side thereof which permits a certain amount of elasticity in the container i self. lVithin this container 13 is positioned the staggered separator 23 also made Oil a single sheet of metal which forms the partitions for the various manicuring items M. On one of the walls of the body 01" the container 13 there is also formed integral therewith by cutting into the side of said wall the holder 22 which serves to retain a file F in place.

The lid 10 has an ear 15 formed integral therewith the bod 11 havin the corre-' sponding ear 16, these ears serving as sup for the container 13 through the pintles 17 and 18 which engage the ears 15 and 16 and the body of the container 13. To the lidlO is attached a handle 20 co-operating with the button 21 on the body 12. v r

fvenient assemblage of as few parts as possible to make a complete manicure outfit and it will be readily understood that various changes may be made in this set without changing the invention inherent therein.

I have, for illustrative purposes, shown my improved box made of metal but it should be understood that a box made according to the specification herein, can also be made of paper, of paper and metal, of composition material, such. as celluloid or bakelite or otother materials, although the particular embodiment shown herein is made of metal. y

Having fully described my invention, what I claim is:

1. In a 'bOX, a lid and a body, said lid and body lying in one plane when the box is in an Open position, holding ears on each side of said lidand bodyat right angles to said lid and the bottom of said body and a rectangular holder tor a series ot' toilet articles secured to said holding ears.

2. In a box,alid and a body, holding ears on each side of said lid'and body at right angles to said lid and the bottom of said body and a rectangular holder for a series of toilet articles secured to said holding ears. r

3. In a boX, a lid and a body, holding ears on each side of said lid and body and integral therewith, said holding ears being at right angles to said lid and body and a rectangular holder for a series of toilet articles securedto said holding ears.
