In av laundry drier, the combination-of a drying chamber open for the circulation of air therethrough, means for vdelivering a blast of air upwardly through said drying chamber, a vertically reciprocating bottom member open to permit the passage ot' air therethrough operatively associated with the walls of the chamber to permit its reciprocation and compel the passage ot the air through said bottom, and means for reciprocating said bottom with a quick downward return movement, said drying chamber being unobstructed above said bottom to permit.

In a laundry drier, the combination of a drying chamber open for the circulation f I ltherethrough operatively associated with the walls of the chamber to permit its reciprocation and compel the passage of the air through said bottom, and means for reciprocat-ing said bottom member in the path of the blastlof air with a relatively rapid movement against the blast of air.

In a laundry drier, the combination-of a drying chamber open-for the circulation ofair therethrough, means yfor delivering a. blast or current of air upwardlyt-hrough said drying chamber, a vertically reciprocating oraminated bottom operatively associated with the walls of the chamber above said air delivery means to permit its reciprocation and compel the passage of the air therethrough, and means for reciprocating said bottom with a quick upward tossing movement. l

In a laundry drier, the combination of a drying chamber open for the circulation of air therethrough, means for delivering a blast kor current of air upwardly through said drying chamber, a vertically reciprocating laundry supporting and tossing member open to permit'the free passage of the air therethrough disposed above said airdelivery means and operatively associated with the walls of the chamber to compel the passage of air through the supporting member, and

means for vertically reciprocating said meml lber with a quick upward tossingmovement.
