The main object of this invention is to provide a cabinet such as are employed by printers and for similar purposes in which the walls are made of veneer or lightpanels which are strong and rigid and at the same time economical in structure.

Objects pertaining to details and economies of my invention will definitely appear from the detailed description to follow. The invention is defined in the claims.

A structure embodying the features of my linvention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing forming a part of this application, in which:

My improved cabinet comprises angle iron front and rear corner uprights 1 and 2 disposed with their angles facing inwardly. The rear panel 3 is disposed Within the angles of the rear corner uprights.v

A rectangular rear frame comprising a top member 4, a bottom member 5 anduprights 6 is disposed on the inner side or' the rear panel 3. The rear panel is clamped between this frame and corner uprights by means of screws 'r'. The end panels 8 are arranged within the corner uprights with their rear edges abutting the rear frame Vand their front edges abutting the lillers 9 arranged inthe angles of the front uprights. Screws 10 secure these panels to the corner uprights.

Top and bottom cross pieces 11 and 12 are arranged to extend between the end panels with their ends in abutting relation thereto and clamped in position by means of the bolts 13. These cross members have recesses 14 formed therein to receive the nuts 15.

Rectangular top and bottom frames designated generally by the numerals 16 and 17 are arranged with their rear members abutting the rear frame and their front members set into rabbets 1S formed in the top and bottom cross pieces 11 and 12. same being suitably secured as by the screws I provide a series of thin slidesV 21 for the shallow drawers 22 which are in the form ot' think plates of metalset into kerfs 23fformed in the inner sides of thev end panels. The front ends ot these .slides are overlapped by the liller `pieces 9 and the rearwardly extending tongues 2.11ct the slides arc engagedby retaining strips '25 secured by means of screws 2G. These retaining strips are set into the panels so as to not obstructthe drawers.

My improved cabinets embodying the features of this invention are simple-,and economical instructure and atA the same time are very strong and rigid. The panels may be made of light material and are so sup ported that they are not likely to be broken in use. V

Having thus described my invention what I claim vas new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is: Y

1. In a cabinet, the combination of front andi-ear angle iron corner uprights disposed with their angles facing inwardly, a rear panel disposed in the angles of the rear corner uprights, a rectangular rear frame disposed within the rear corner uprights on the inner side of the rear' panel, end panels disposed Within and secured to the front and rear corner uprights withtheir rear -edges abutting said rear frame,`top and bottom cross members disposed with their end abutting and secured to said end panels in spaced relation to the front corner uprights, rectan- 4 gular top and bottom frames disposed with their rear members in abutting relation to the vtop and bottom members otl said rear frame and with their front members rabbeted into said top and bottom cross members, a top panel disposed upon and secured to said top frame, and upright filler members arranged in the angles of the front corner uprights.

2. In a cabinet, the combination of front and rear angle iron corner uprights disposed with their angles facing inwardly, a rear panel disposed in the angles of the rear corner uprights, a rear frame disposed within the corner uprights on the inner side of said rear panel, end panels disposed within and secured to the front and rear corner Vup- 'rights with their rear edges abutting said rear frame, top and bottom cross members lll) disposed with their ends abutting and secured to said end panels in spaced relation to the front corner uprights, rectangular top and bottom frames disposed with their rear members in abutting relation to the top and bottom members of said rear frame and with their front members rabbeted into said top and bottom cross members, and a top panel disposed upon and secured to said top frame.

3. In a cabinet, the combination of front and rear angle iron corner uprights disposed With'their angles 'facing inwardly, a

rear panel disposed in the angles oit the rear corner uprights, a rectangular rear lrame disposed Within the r'ear corner uprights on the inner side of the rear panel, end panels disposed Within and secured to the front and rear corner uprights with their rear edges abutting said rear frame, top and bottom cross members disposed. with their ends abutting and secured to said end panels in spaced relation to the front corner uprights, rectangular top and bottom frames disposed with their rear members in abutting relation to the top and bottom members of said rea-r frame and said top and bottom cross members, a top panel disposed upon said top frame, and upright filler members arranged in the angles of the front corner uprights.

In a cabinet, the combination of front and rear angle iron corner uprights disposed With their angles facing inwardly, a rear panel disposed in the angles of the rear corner uprights, rectangular rear trame disposed within the rear corner uprights on the inner side of the rear panel, end panels disposed within and secured to the front and rear corner uprights with their rear edges abutting said rear frame, top and bottom cross members disposed with their ends abutting and secured to said end panels in spaced relation to the front corner uprights, rectangulaitop and bottom 'frames disposed with their rear members in abutting relation to the top and bottom members of said rear frame and said top andbottoln cross members, and a top panel disposed upon said top frame.
