This invention relates to apparatus for cleaning dipping forms suchV as used for Y making dipped rubber goods as, for example, finger cots, nipples, gloves, etc.
The general purpose of the invention is tofprovide an improved apparatus for effectively cleaning dipping forms. In particular the invention has for its object the provision of means for feeding form boards carrying rotatable forms along` a path, means for rotating the forms as the boards are moved along the path and means operable against the forms (duringtheir travel and while rotating) progressively from one end to the other thereof for effectively cleanrlllhe foregoing and other objects `are obtained by the construction shown in the accompanying drawings and described below.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral designates a slide comprising` spaced members 11, 11 along `which form boards 12,12, having two rows of rotatable forms 13, `13 depending therefrom, may be moved shown) prior to the cleaning apparatus de picted `in the drawings. In order to rotate the forms 13 as they pass through the cleaning apparatus, plates 20, are provided on each side of slide 10 and yieldingly urged inwardly by springs 21, 21 into frictional engagement with rollers 22, 22 secured to the forms 13.
. The cleaning devices comprise horizontal brushes 23, 23, 24, 24 and 25, 25 arranged Vly downwardly from their bottoms to their tops; and a horizontal brush 27 arranged beneath the path of the forms to brush the top ends thereof.
For driving of the various brushes, a` motor may be employed which is arranged to drive a shaft 34 having thereon reversely arranged bevel gears 33,33 meshing with bevel gears 32, 32 on shafts 37, 37 so as to drive said shafts in opposite directions. Shafts 37 are in turn geared `to shafts31 at 36, 36 and shafts 31 are arranged to drive brushes 23, 24`and 25 by` sprockets 30, 30 driving. chains 29, 29 which are trained over sprockets 2S, 28 connected to brushes 23, 24 and 25. jacent each row. The forms are then subjected toa series of brushing actions progressively downwardly from their bottoms (upper portions) to their tops (lower portions) by brush`es26. Finally the forms are subjected to a brushing of their top ends (lower ends) by brush 27 and pass from the machine ready for reuse in dipping articles.
It will appear that, due to rotation of the forms, only one brush operating on one side of each form is required for performing a cleaning operationen each form and by k arranging the brushes in pairs with the forms traveling between them two rows of forms may be effectively cleaned at the same time. The machine, accordingly, is adapted for effective cleaning of `forms in a rapid and economical manner. y y
` Modifications of the invention may be resorted to without departing from the spirit thereof or the scope of the appended claims.
What is claimed is:

tatable brushes having progressively lower axes, a series of inclined, rotatable brushes for brushing-.the forms `downwardly from their bottoms to their tops, a rotatable brush extending transversely beneath the slide for brushing the top ends of the forms and means for rotating the horizontal and inclined brushes so as to brush the forms downwardly. y 4

Apparatus for cleaning dipping forms, comprising a slide including spaced members adapted to support form boards slid-l able on said members and having forms rotatably mounted thereon and depending between the members, means for sliding the boards along the members, means for rotating the forms on the boards as the latter are slid along the members, and means for progressively brushing the forms downwardly from their bottoms to their tops,
said means including a series of horizontal,
rotatable brushes having progressively lower axes, a series of inclined, rotatable brushes i'or brushing the forms downwardly from their bottoms to their tops and means for rotating the brushes so as to brush the forms downwardly.

Apparatus for cleaning dipping forms, comprising a slide including spaced members adapted to support form boards slidable on said members and having forms rotatably mounted thereon and depending between the members, means for sliding the boards along the members, means for rotating the `forms on theboards as the latter are slid along the members, and means for progressively brushing the vl'orms downwardly from their bottoms to their tops, said means including a series of inclined, rotatable brushes for brushing the ormsdownwardly :trom their bottoms to their tops, a rotatable brush extending transversely beneath the slide for brushing the top ends ot the forms t and means tor rotating the inclined brushes so as to brush the lorms downwardly.

Apparatus for cleaning dipping forms, comprising a slide including spaced members adapted to support form boards slidable on said members and having forms rotatably mounted thereon and depending between the members, means for sliding the boards along the members, means for ro` tating the i'orms on the boards as the latter are slid along the members, and means for progressively brushing` the forms downwardly :trom their bottoms to their tops, said means including a series of horizontal, rotatable brushes having progressively lower axes, a rotatable brush extending transversely beneath the slide for brushing the top ends ot the forms and means for rotating the series of horizontal brushes so as to brush the forms downwardly.

Apparatus for cleaning dipping forms, comprising a slide including spaced members adapted to support form boards slidable on said members and having forms rotatably mounted thereon and depending between the members, means for sliding the boards along the members, means for rotating the forms on the boards as the latter are slid along the members, and means Jfor progressively brushing the forms downwardly from their bottoms to their tops, said means including a series of horizontal, rotatable brushes having progressively lower axes and means for rotating the brushes so as to brush thel forms downwardly.

Apparatus for cleaning dipping forms, comprising a slide including spaced members adapted to support form boards slidable on said members and having forms rotatably mounted thereon and depending between the members, means for sliding the boards along the members, means for rotating the forms on the boards as the latter are slid along the members, rotatable means lill for progressively brushing the forms downwardly from their bottoms to their tops, a rotatable brush extending transversely beneath the 'Slide for brushing` the `top ends of the forms, and means for rotating the rota-table means so as to brush the iorms downwardly.
