Application filed Mills are known in which the grinding space is subdivided by longitudinal partition walls. In mills ot this formed by said walls inl one and the same direction. It there are, for instance, three grinding spaces iii thedrum' the material is subdivided into three portions which pass in parallel directions from the supply end of the drum to the delivery `end of the saine. Drums. ot this type must be relatively long obtaining a certain inencss of the ground and they are, therefore, heavy, expensive and require much pow-er.
The present invention obviates these drawbacks. It relates to an improved design of drum mills. 'These improved millsare only short, comparatively light and cli-cap, and require by tar less power .than the aforementioned mills.
