MOP.
Application filed July 6, 1926.
My invention relates to improvements in mops and the object of the invention 1s to simplify and cheapen the construction and render the parts more easily assembled or disassembled and it consists in the arrangement and construction of parts as hereinafter more particularly explained.
Fig. l is a perspective view of my mop.
Fig. 2 is a similar view to Fig. 1 show- 19 ing the mop frame and handle partially withdrawn from the envelope.
Fig. 3 is a perspective detail of my onvelope.
Fig. 4 is a plan detail of the blank out of which the envelope is formed.
In the drawing like characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in each figure.
1 indicates a mop frame which is triangular in form. 3 is a rod, which extends through the frame near the broad end and a is a plate which extends underneath the rod and is suitably fastened to the frame 1 as indicated. 5 is a handle provided with an end socket 5 from which the cross rod 3 formed integral therewith pivotally mounting the handle in the frame 1.
9 is an undivided envelope triangular in form and in which the frame 1 fits, the envelope being sufliciently long so that its edges at the broad end thereof overlap the broad end of the frame 1 and over each other when drawn together, such overlapping portions being connected together by dome fasteners 6 or by any other suitable detachable connecting means.

From this description it will be seen that I have devised a very simple construction which is cheap to manufacture and which may be readily assembled or disassembled whenever desired.
What I claim as my invention is:
A mop comprising an envelopehaving an open end and also having an opening located in the longitudinal centre of the top Wall of the envelope, a cleaning element carried by the bottom wall, an open frame adapted to be slipped into such open end to fit the envelope, and a handle within the frame adapt ed to register with such opening of the top wall and adapted to pass through such opening as the frame is slipped within the envelo
