LATHING STRIP.

To all whom t may concern Be it known that I, IVAN W, JAMiEsoN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Falms, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in Latliing Strips, of which the following is a specification. This invention relates to ar lathing strip, the general object of the invention being to form a strip formed of aplurality of -laths and abacking of felt, paper or the like which prevents moisture from reaching the lath.

Another object of the invention is to provide improved means for vfastening the laths i together andto the backin0'.

vThis invention also consists in certain other features of constructiony and in the lcomliination and arrangement of the several v parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in ythe accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims. y'

As shown in these views, they strip is formed of a plurality of laths l and a sheet 2 of felt or the like to which the latlis aie secured by means of the strips of wire 3 which are providedL with the kinks 4i which are pressed into the laths. As shown, these wires are used for holding thelaths together by running the lengths of wires transversely of the laths'and pressing the kinks into the front faces ofthe laths and they are also used for lfastening the `backing sheet tothe laths by pressing the kinks in the lengths of wires in rear of thestrip through the backing sheet into the latlis. only serve as connecting means but also' act as reinforcements for the strip.
