It is the object of the present invention to provide a wheeled platform upon which is mounted a plurality of amusement apparatus, lall of which are simultaneously put into operation b-y means actuatedv incident to the movement of the toy over the ground on surface. f l y y More specifically stated, the invention embodies a wheeled platform o-n which is mounted apparatus representing a merry- ,go-round and a Ferris wheel, bothl of which are operated from the axle of the toy, While also mounted upon the platform is a see-Saw and swing simultaneously operated with and fromthe said merrygo-round and Ferris wheel, thus presenting a very pleasing appearance to the child using the toy.

The nature and advantages of the invention will be better understood when the following detailed description is read in connection with the accompanying drawings, the invention residing in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts as claimed.

In the drawings forming part of this application, like numerals of reference indicate similar parts in the several views, and wherein:

Figure 1 is a side elevation of the toy.

Referrin to the drawings in detail, 10 indicates t e platform mounted on front and rear wheels 11 and 12 respectively, thesev wheels being associated with axles 13 and 14 respectively. The wheeled platform is adapted to be pushed over the ground or surface by means of a handle 15, so that the child using the toy will face the platform and thus view the various amusement devices which are put into operation as the toy is wheeled over the surface.

Mounted upon the platform 12 adjacent the front endthereof is an `amusement device in the nature of a small merry-go'- round, which device includes a verticallyv disposed shaft 16 which projects-above and below the platform 10 and journalled in suitab-le bracket17 which is secured to the underside of the platform. This apparatus also includes a sleeve like member 18' which isy slipped over the upper end of the shaft 16 and secured thereto foll rotation therewith. Carried .by this sleeve is a base 19 from which rises bars 20, the latter supporting the animal figures 21 and a canopy or topi 22. The lower portion of this shaft 16 supports a horizontally disposed pulley 2 3 utilized in the connection between the rear axle 14: and the amusement device just described. This connection includes a cable 2liy which is trained over the pulley 23, and also over one side of a. duplex pulley 25, the lower run of the cable being` trained over an idle pulley 26 journalled in a bracket 27 which depends from the under-- side of the platform 10. The'duplex pulley is fixed to the rear axlelt, and is of course arranged ina plane at a right angle to the pulley 23, the cable 24 beingpcrosse'd as clearly shown in Figure 3. However, by reason of this construction, it is manifest that when the Yaxle 14 isA rotated, simultaneous motion is imparted `to the shaft 16 putting the merry-go-round into operation. y Also supported on the platform 10 adjacent the rear end thereof is an amusement apparatus in the nature of a small Ferris wheel, including a shaft 38 journalled in suitable brackets 29, the Ferris wheel properl being indicated at 30. This shaft 28 also supports a pulley 31 over which and the other side of the duplex pulley 25 is trained a. cable 32. The platform is provided with openings to receive the runs of the cable 32, so that when the toy is moved over. the ground or surface, the Ferris wheel is also put into operation simultaneously with the operationy of t-he merry-go-round. Carried by the shaft 38 of this apparatus is a disk 33 with which the rod 34 is eccentrically connected, the rod being also connected with a small swing 35 to actuate the latter incident to the [operation of the Ferrier wheel. The connection between this rod 34 and theswing is clearly'indicated at 36 in Figure 2. The swing 35 is suspended between spaced parallel supports 37, and pivoted between these supports as at 38. The disk 33 is arranged at one side of' the Ferris wheel, while carried by the shaft 28 and arranged at the other side of this wheel isa similar disk 39. Eccentrically connected to the disk 39 is a rod 4() which operates through an opening 41 in the platform 10, and which rod has its lower end connected with the adjacent extremity of a lever 42 fulcrumed at a point between its ends as'at 43 for rocking movement. The lever is supported by a suitable bracket 44 depending from the underside of the platform 10, and has its other end connected with a vertically disposed rod 45 which also operatesthrough an opening 46 in the platform 10. This rod projects above the platform and is terminally connected with the adjacent end of a see-saw 4S, the connection between these parts being indicated at 49, in Figures l and Q. The see-saw is pivoted between the spaced parallel guides supported upon the platform l0. Consequently when the toy is moved over the surface,`the merry-goround and Ferris wheel are put into operation by reason of their connection with the rear aXle 14, while the swing and see-saw are simultaneously operated by reason of their connection with the shaft Q8 forming part of the Ferris. wheel. As above stated, the child pushes the toy over Vthe vground always facing the platform so vthat the simultaneous operation of the various amusement apparatus afl'ord a very pleasing appearance to the child giving him considerable pleasure and amusement. The toy is very simple in construction r'and -can be manufactured and sold at a nominal cost.

While it is believed that from the foregoing "description, the nature and advantages of the invention will be readily apparent, I desireto have it understood that l do not limit `myself* to what is herein shown and described and that such changes may be resorted to when desired as fall within the scope of what is claimed.

Having thus described the invention, l claim:

l. In combination, a wheeled platform,a front and rear axle therefor, a 'duplex pulley c'arried by one of said axles, an amusement apparatus arranged above the platform and including a vertical shaft, a pulley carried by said shaft, a second amusement apparatus including a horizontal shaft mounted for rotation, a pulley carried by the last mentioned shaft, cables trained over said duplex pulley, and the .pulleys of the respective shafts whereby said amusement apparatus are operated when `the toy is moved over the surface, andother amuse ment apparatus mounted `on the platform and operated from the last mentioned shaft.

2. ln combination, a wheeled platform, a plurality of-amusement apparatus mounted thereon 'for rotation, means for rotating said apparatus simultaneously lfromfone of theaxles of'sa-id toy, one of said apparatus including a shaft, disks carried vby the shaft, a swing mounted upon theV platform. a see-saw mounted'upon the platform, and means actuating the last mentioned devices with said disks for operating the same simultaneously with the operation ofthe said amusement apparatus.
