IMPROVEMENT IN FOLDING COT-BEDSTEADS.

To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, WENDELL WRIGHT, of Phoenieia, in the countyV of Ulster and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Folding Cot-Bedsteads, of which the following is a specification:
The invention will first be described, and then pointed out in the claim.
Figure l represents a Vertical longitudinal section of the bedstead, taken on the line x n ot' Fig. 2. Fig. 2 is a plan View.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A A are the side rails; B, the head, and C the foot board. D D are cross-rails, which support the slats E. F represents the legs. The legs at each end are connected by atransverse rail, and are pivote'd to the side rails at the points G, so that they will readily fold back against the inner sides of the side rails. 'When the bedstead is in use the legs stand braeing, and are supported by the head and loot boards, the end pieces of which have pro- I jeetions H, which enter mortises in the legs, as seen in Fig. l. The legs may be supported by the cross-rails D D.
In this example of my invention I pivot the foot-boardvat the point I, so that it will fold down between the side rails. The head may also be pivoted so as to fold in a similar manner. Thev legs may bear against the crossrails; but by means of the projection H on the head and foot boards the legs are more perfectly supported than they Would be by the rails D D.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patentrlhe pivoted head and foot boards B C, hav` ing proj eetions H, combined with mortised and pivoted legs, in the manner and for the purpose described.
