My invention relates to a luggage conveyor and I declare the following to be a full, clear, concise, and exact description thereof suflicient to enable anyone skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same reference being had to the'accompanying drawings in which like reference characters refer to like parts throughout the specification.

The object of the invention is to provide a harness for suitcase, luggage or any parcel or portable object that has weight in such proportions that it would be more convenlent to convey it than to carry it. The device will be found particularly useful to women, old people and young children, when traveling, as an aid in transporting their baggage between trains. When not in use the harness can be carried conveniently in the suit case.

The object will be understood by referring to the drawings, in which:

Referring more particularly to the drawings, the device embodies a harness having straps 1, 1 made of leather, canvas or other suitable material. Straps 1, 1 are provided in each instance with a buckle 2, whereby said straps 1 can be adjusted to any size suit case as 3, as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 1. Moreover, members 12, 12 of part 9 are offset or bent downwards at a, a to form shoulders against which the ends of the opposite pair of members 12, 12 will abut to limit the inward movement of said members 12 relative to members 12 of part 10. Furthermore, offsetting one pair of members 12, 12 will allow for a space between the' surface of the uppermost pair of members 12 and the contiguous surface of the suit case, whereby to provide clearance for the heads of headed bolts 21 hereinafter described. Strips of fabric 22 are sewed to the up er surface of cross pieces 13 and 14 througli holes therein to protect the contiguous surface of the suitcase. It will be observed that the members 12 of the respective parts 9 and 10 1ie flat one against the other. Moreover, each of members 12 is e nipped with an elongated slot 23 that is adapted .to aline with the correspondingly formed slot 24. made in member 12 of counter art 10 when said parts 9 and 10 are fitted together. In order to protect the edges of the suitcase 3, where the straps 1 make contact, corner pieces or metal clips 30, bent at substantially right angles and having holes 31 formed therein are mounted in a sliding manner uponstraps 1. For this purpose pieces of fabric 82, 32 are fastened about the opposite ends of each of the corner pieces 30 by sewing the same in place through holes 31 therein and adjacent the ends as at 35, 35. Each strap 1 will have mounted thereon four of these corner pieces 30, which can be moved along said straps to adjust theirposition relative to different sizes of suitcases.

The harness can be applied easily and quickly to a suitcase 3 or other parcel, to convey it between trains by disposing straps 1 about said suitcase 3 the longway preferably and drawing the .t'ree ends through buckles 2 to tighten the harness upon said suitcase 3. Corner pieces 30 will be moved along strap 1 to register with the edges of the suitcase 3.

Likewise, parts 9 and 10 of each of the frames 7 W111 be adjusted longitudinally with reference to the size of said suitcase 3.

Havlng thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. In a luggage carrier, a harness having a handle mounted thereon, members with rollers swiveled thereto attached to said harness, elongated slots formed in said members, means projecting through said elongated slots, whereby to hold said members in glven relation to each other and accommodate the same to the size of the luggage, and means slidingly mounted on said harness to aid in protecting said luggage.

2. In a luggage carrier, a harness comprising adjustable straps, a handle mounted on said harness, members having rollers swiveled thereto, elongated'slot-s formed in said members, bolts projecting through said 7 elongated slots, whereby to hold said members in given relation to each other and accommodate the same to the size of the luggage, and corner pieces slidingly mounted on said harness to aid in protecting said lugmy signa- SARAH M.
