In a lubricating pump, a pumping cylinder, a pumping piston arranged in said cylinder, a rocking lever having a first arm for, actuating said pumping piston and a second forked arm, a shaft, and a double tappet fixed on said shaft and located insuch position relatively to said forked arm as to contact with the two ends of the fork of the lever in succession and thereby move one end of said fork in one direction and the other end of said fork in the other direction, each half of the double tappet being capable of alone reciprocating the piston positively once, so that two reciprocations of the piston occur at each complete revolution of the double tappet.
2. A lubricating pump as claimed in claim 1 in which the ends of the forked arm and tappet are so arranged that each tappet con; tacts withone end portion of said arm only after the other ta pet has released contact portion of said arm. f
3. In a lubricating pump, a pumping cylinder, a pumping piston arranged therein, a. rocking lever having an arm engaging said piston, a forked arm part of said lever,
'a rotatable shaft, and a substantially elliptical cam arranged on said shaft and forming a double tappet designed to successively engage the tines of the forked arm for causing positive movement of-the piston inopposite directions, each half of the double tappet being capable of alone reciprocating the piston positively once, so that two reciprocations of the piston occur at each complete revolution of the double tappet.
