Be it known thatwe, V I GTORE. 'SODER- QUIST and LLOYD E.- MAPLETHQRPE, citizens of the United States, residing at Marshalltown anctRock Island, respectively, in the counties of Marshall and Rock Island and States of Iowa and Illinois, 'IGSPGCUVBIY, have invented a certain new. and useful- Safe-Protecting Device, of which the following is a specification. The object of our invention is to provide asafe or vault protecting device of simple, durable, and comparatively inexpensive construction. v V

Received within the container 10 are a number of bottles 12. -The bottles 12 are filled with a non-poisonous gas 13.. Some changes may be made in the construction and arrangement of the various parts of our device, Without departing from the real spirit and purpose of our invention and it is our intention tocover by-our claim, any modified forms of structure oruse of tainer open at one end having in-turned flanges at its edges at its open end, a plurality' of frangible bottles in said container With their bottoms adjacent to the open end thereof adapted to contain a gas, a frangible plate held between the bottom of said bottles and said flanges, and means for cushioning the bottles at their tops and sides from the casing and from each other.
