One of the important ohjeets o'l the pres ent invention is to provide :1 switch ot the above mentioned character, which is so inonnted es to render the sinne accessible while the iron is in person to readily ent ilse, thus enabling e oit the current to the whenever desired.

A 'further object of the invention is to provide :in electric switch for electricl irons, which is so inonnted ne to not inter tere with the handling ol the iron, the switch heine` preferably mounted in the handle.
