the United States, residing at Southbridge, in the coimty of Worcester and Stateof; Massachusetts, haveinvented certain new and t useful Improvements in Edging Machines, of which the following is a specification v This invention relates to improvements in edging machines and has particular reference to a noveland improved construction of honing device for. use in connection therewith V v I One'ofthe principal objects ofthe present invention is the provision of a novel and improved construction of hone particularly adapted for use inconnection with that type of edging machines having a non-reciproeating stone, which hone shall be capable up the stone from time to time asmay be required. f H y a A. further object of the present invention is the provision in connection with a structure of this character, of improved means for preventing splashing of the water in v which the stone runs about themachine and instead causing the return of the same tothe original trough or container therefor.

We claim:
1. The combination with a frame, of an edging machine, a stone surl ace honing device therefor, including a transversely adjustable slide, a'second slide mounted on the first and adjustable in a direction at right angles thereto, said second slide comprising a holder member having a hone receiving socket formed centrally therein and having:
