BENJAMIN S. CASTLE OF JOHNSTOWN, OHIO.
IMPROVEMENT IN sAw-sETs.
Specification forming part of Lettere Patent No. 143,272, dated September 30, 1873 application filed June 21,1873.
To all whom t may concern:
Beit known that I, BENJAMIN S. CASTLE, of Johnstown, in the county of Licking and State of Ohio, have invented a new and Improved Apparatus for Setting Saws; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, refn erence being had to the accompanying drawthen binding horizontally beyond the edge, and then down through the frame to the 1evers G, which are forced down by a screw, H, to press the clamp down on the saw, which is laid on the plate D. The levers are forced up by a spring, I. The tool is forced down on the saw-teeth by the blows of a hammer, and it is forced up by a spring, M.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The clamp E, levers G, .screw H, and spring I, combined with the setting-plate, substantially as specified.
