Another object of this invention is the provisionof an inner tube vthat may be easilyr and quickly assembledjand disassembled to permit changing of any onev of the parts when worn or broken and which willbe simple, durable and eicient, and which maybe manufactured and soldat a comparatively low cost. .y
With these and other objects in View as will become more apparent as the description proceeds, the invention consistsin certain novel features of construction, combination, and arrangementof parts'as will be hereinafter more fullydescribed and claimed.
For a complete understanding of my invention, reference is to be had to the following description, and accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a transverse sectional view illustrating my invention applied to a shoe and the latter mounted on a rim,

The springs yhave their smaller ends in contact with the inner band, while y their larger ends contact `with the outerl band.v n i f nplurality of side plates 12 have their outer and inner edges curved inwardly as illustrated at 13 and are fastened to the 'flanges of the inner and outer bands 2 and 3 by fastening elements 14.. The fastening ele'i'nents le are of any desired construction and are ca'pableof permitting theuside plates to be detached from the inner and outer bands when desired. 4The ends of thel vside plates. slightlyove'rlap .each other and are pivotally connected by rivets or similar fasteners 15. The plates have formed thereon pins 16 that form seats for transversely arranged springs 17 that extend between the springs 11 and are of coil formation. The pins 16 proj ect a short distance into the ends f the springs 17 to prevent said springs from accidentally disengaging the plates 12 during the use of the device.
The pin or rod 8 formed on the connecting plate 6 also has a spring 11 mounted thereon and which spring bears against the connecting plate 6 and the notched ends of the inner band. The pin or rod 8 extends through the rim 18 and the felly 19 of a wheel and has a nut 2O turned thereon. The rim forms the subject matter of a co-pending application filed October 1, 1921, and serially numbered 504,566. A cushioninner tube comprising inner and outer bands having their edges bent to form flanges, said fianges notched at spaced intervals, springs interposed between the inner and outer bands, pivotally connected` side plates `flexibly connected tothe flanges and having their edges bent to form flanges,
