and adapted to deliver the heat to a considerable distance from the stove.
Further objects, and objects relating to structural details, will definitely appear from the detailed description to follow.
1 accomplish the objects of my invention by the devices and means dcscril'ied in the following specification.
The invention is clearly defined and pointed out in the claims. A structure which is a preferred embodiment of my invention is clearly illustrated in ,the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this application, in which:
Fig. I is a front view of my improved gas stove. I
Fig. II is a detail horizontal section on a line corresponding to line 2-2 of Fig. I.
Fig. HT is a detail vertical section on a line corresponding to ine 33 of Figs. I and ll.
In the drawings. similar reference characters refer to similar parts throughout the several views, and the sectional views are taken looking in the direction of the little arrows at the endsof the section lines.
Referring to the drawings, 1 provide. a casing of sheet metal comprising the back wall 1, side walls 2 and top 3. The frame 4 is secured to the front edges of the side walls. The top and side members 5 and 6 respectively of the frame 4 are of channel cross section. The front edges of the side walls 2 of the casing are secured to the upright or side portions dwhieh are rabbeted at 8 to receive them, the top piece 5 of the frame being similarly rabbeted at 8 to receive the front edge of the top 3.
The frame is provided with a front cross piece 9. Between this cross piece 9 and the bottpm piece 10 of the frame is a panel 11. When the stove is used for display or advertising purposes, this panel is well adapted to receive advertising matter. The front of the casing is open above the cross piece 9.
Extending across the rear side of the cars ing is a supporting plate 12 on which the fireback 13 is mounted, a retaining member 14 being arranged to engage the top of the firebaek. The fireback is provided with a. top flange 15 and side flanges 16 which form a recess for the tubular foraminated radiants 17. i
Th radiating elements rest upon the supporting plate 12 above the burner designated generally by the numeral 18. The burner is provided with a. plurality of tips aligned with the radiants. The burner is controlled by a valve 19, having a stem 20 projecting,
at the front of th stove. The upper ends of the radiants are retained by the rod 21.
I provide a bottom reflector 22, a top refleetor 23 and side reflectors 24. These re ilectors ai'e disposed to converge inwardly,
both the top and bottom reflectors being rearwardly inclined, the inclination of the top reflector being greater than that of the bottom.
7 The rear edges of the side reflectors are close to the side flanges 16 of the fireback, while the rear edge of the bottom reflector I is close to the plane of the faces of the radiating elements. The rear edge of the top reflector is close to but spaced rom the top flange 15 of the fireback, providing an opening 25 for the passage of the products of combustion. Thus arranged, the reflectors form a relatively deep recess or chamber of which the radiants constitute. the back wall. ln other words, the reflectors form a deep frame for the radiants. Above the back wall the casing is provided with a fine casing 26.
My improved gas stove is very efficient and the heat is directed a considerable distance from the stove, and particularly when burning, the stove is very attractive and striking in appearance, one of my objects being to provide a. stove adapted to attract attention. For example. it may be placed in front of a. store to direct the heat across the sidewalk. thereby attracting the attention of passersby.
The structure illustrated is especially designed for advertising purposes, panel 11 being adapted to receive advertising matter. My improved stove is, however, very efficient a heater.

Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a gas stove the combination of a casing of substantial depth open at the front, a fireback mounted at the rear of said casing and having top and side flanges, radiants disposed in front of said fireback within its said flanges, a burner associated opening for the passage of the products of combustion from theradiants, said casing being provided with a flue opening above said fireback.
.2. In a gas stove the combination of a casing of substantial depth open at the front, a fireback mounted at the rear of said casing and having top and side flanges, radiants disposed in front of said fireback within its said flanges, a burner associated with said radiants, and flat bottom, top and side reflectors arranged with the rear edges of the side reflectors meeting the side flanges of the fireback and the rear edge of the bottom reflector close to the plane of the faces of the radiants and with the rear edge of the top reflector close to but spaced from the top flange of the fireback providing an opcning'for the passage of the products of combustion from the radiants.
In a gas stove the combination of a casing of substantial depth open at the front, a fireback mounted at the rear of said casing, radiants disposed in front of said fireback, a burner associated with said radiants, and top, bottom and side reflectors disposed within said casing in a rcarwardly converging relation with the top and bottom reflectors rearwardly inclined, the rear edges of said side and bottom reflectors being disposed in substantially the plane of the face of the radiants and so that the radiants constitute the rear Wall of aspace inclosed by the reflectors, the rear edge of the top reflector being spaced from the fireback to provide an opening for the passage of the products of combustion from the radiants. i
4. In a gas stove, the combination of a .casingof substantial depth open at the flector being diants, and top, bottomand side reflectors disposed within said casing, the rear edges of said side'and bottom reflectors beingdisposed in substantially the plane-of the face of the radiants andso that the radiants constitute the rear wall of a space inclosed by the reflectors, the rear edge of the top re spaced from the 'fireback to provide an opening for the passage of the products of combustionfrom the radiants.
5. In a gas stove, the combination of a casing .of substantial depth .open at the front, a fireback mounted at the rear of said casing, radiants disposed in front of said fireback, a burner associated with said radiants, and top, bottom and side reflectors disposed within said casing in a rearwardly converging relation with the top and bot- .tom reflectors rearwardly inclined, the rear edges of said side and bottom reflectors being disposed in substantially the plane of the face of the radiants and so that the radiants constitute the rear wall closed by the reflectors.
6. In a gas stove, the combination of a of a space incasing open at the front, a fireback mounted at the rear of saidcasing, radiants disposed in front of said fl'reback, a burner associated with said radiants, and top, bottom and side reflectors of substantial depth disposed in a rearwardly converging relation with the top and bottom reflectors rearwardly inclined providing a deep recess, said reflectors being disposed relative to the radiants so that the radiants constitute the rear wall of a space enclosed by the reflectors,
the rear edge of the top reflector being spaced from the fireback to provide an opening for the passage of the products of combustion from the radiants.
7. In a gas stove, the combination of a casing open at the front, a fireback mounted at the rear of said casing, radiants disposed in front of said fireback, a burner associated with said radiants, and top, bottom and side reflectors of substantial depth, said reflectors being disposed relative to the radiants so that the radiants constitute the rear wall of a space igclosed by the reflector.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal in the presence of two Witnesses:
LUELLA G. GREENFIELD, MARGARET Ii. GLASGOW.
