Be a known that I, ROBERT n. LEE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ma' rietta, in the county 'of Washington and State' ofl Ohio, have invented a new and useful Liquid- Soap Dispenser, of which the following is a specification, A

This invention relates to a device for dispensing liquid soap, one of its' objects being to provide Va simple and compact structure having novel means for ejecting a jet of liquid soap downwardly onto the hands of the user the said apparatus, at eachoperation, discharging a measured quantity of the soaps.

Another object is to provide a structure of this character -which can be taken apart easily to 'facilitate` cleaning and to allow for the replacing'of broken-parts, etc.

' With the above and other objects in view, which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combina; tion and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that, within the scope o f what is claimed, changes in the v precise embodiment 'of the invention shown can be made without departing from 'the spirit of the invention.

In the acccompanying drawings the pre-- ferred form of the invention has been shown. In said drawings: Figure 1 isa. plan view of the device.

Referring to the figures by characters of referencel designates an attaching bracket provided with a ring 2 integral therewith:

Thisv ringis interiorly screw threaded and is adapted to engage the threaded neck por-v tion 3 of a container 4 and thus suspend the said container.l The c ontainer may be made of' glass suitably ornamented and can be provided with a flat. bottom as shown in Fig. 1 or, if preferred, can be formed with an outlet opening 5 in the bottom thereof surrrounde'd by a depending threaded flange 6 for engagement vby a cap 7 constituting a bottom closure.

An o ning 10 'is is preferably formed in the cap-in line with the center of the tube and depending from the cap and concentric at its upper end with the opening 10 is another tube 11 the lower end of which opens into a casting or cap 12 forming a measuring chamberand having a radially extending portion 13. An outlet 14 is formed in the top of this portion 13 and has a delivery tube 15 extending upwardly'v thereirom 4and through the 'cap 8theoutwardly projecting portion of the tube being curved and terminating in a downwardly extending nozzle 16.

Oneor more 'openings 17 areformed in the wall of the tube 11 and normally supported above Athese openings and within the tube is a piston 18 connected to the lower end of a rod 19. Said rod extends throu h the guide tube 9, the upper endY of the rod eing screw threaded as shown at 20 for engagement with .a sleeve 21 slidably mounted in the tube 9 and having a knob- 22 at its upperend. A coiled spring 28 is mounted in the tube 9l between the sleeve 211 and the cap 8 and serves to hold the sleeve normally elevated and the piston 1 8 normally positioned above 'the opening or openings 17.

.In usin the device the liquid soap is placed in t container 4 after first unscrewmg' the cap 8 from the neck; 3 land lifting the tubes 11 and '15 from-the container. The

cap` is then replaced so that the two tubes will extend downwardly, into the bottom portion of the containerand a portion of the liquid will flow through the opening 17 and fill the chamber 12. By pressing downwardljT on the lmob 22 the piston 18 will be forced downwardly, promptly, closing the opening 17 and forcing from the chamber 12- any liquid contained therein, this liquid i p assing upwardly through thetube 15 to the nozzle 16 where it rebounds from the wall of the nozzle and is directed downwardly onto the hands of the user.

It will be noted that the different parts cleaning and repairing them.

What is claimed is:

i 1.In a device of the classdescribed the combination with an atttaching bracket, aqlid a rinsoutstanding therefrom, and having threa therein, of a container having a lthreaded neck extending Ythrough the ring can be separated readily for the purpose of and engaging the threads therein,- and a cap engaging said threaded neck and binding upon the ring to constitute a lock nut.

2. In a soap with a container,- and a cap removably mounted thereon and constituting a closure therefor, of a guide tube extending upwardly from the cap, a tube depending from the cap and having an outlet opening at its lower end and an inlet opening adjacent said end7 a cap mou-nted on the lower end of said depending tube and having an outlet extension projecting from the outlet opening, a piston mounted to reciprocate Within the depending tube, a rod extending therefrom and into the guide tube, a knob adjustably engaging the rod and slidable Within the guide tube, a spring housed Within dispenser the combinationthe guide tube and bearing against the'knob and the cap for holding the piston normally elevated above the inlet opening in the dependingstube, an outlettube extending from the outlet extension on the depending tube and through the cap, and a nozzle at the outer end of said tube and extended at an abrupt angle therefrom, the cap on the lower end of the depending tube being mounted on-the bottom of the container.V
