NURSING-BOTTLE HOLDER.

Be it known that we, FRAM; J. Finno- MANN and Monnis JQ LirsHrrz, citizens of the United States and Russia, respectively, and residents of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful improvements in Nursing-Bottle Holders, of which the following is a specification.

Our invention relates to a holder for nursing bott-les and has for its object the production of a holder of simple construction, of low cost to manufacture and of lightness in weight which shall be adapted to be fastened to an infants dress and to support the nursing bottle for the infant while feeding.

@ther and further objects of the invention will appear from the subjoined description, the invention consisting inthe novel combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawing and specified in the appended claims.

Referring more particularly to the several figures of the drawing:

1 indicates the base of our improved holder with which the side walls 2, 3 are integrally united, said base and side walls being preferably made of vulcanized fiber or some other strong, durable and light and analogous material. The said side walls are cut away as at 4, 5, said cut-away portions conforming in shape to the shape of the nursing bottle 6 which rests therein when in position for use. To construct the holder from the blank sho-wn in Fig. 3, the side walls 2, 3 are bent up and away from the base 1 and the tabs or ends 7 of said side walls are then bent around to meet each other as shown in Figs. l and 2 and are fastened together preferably by the rivets 8 passing through the perforations or holes 9 with which said tabs or ends are provided. The joining together of the tabs or ends acts as a support or brace for the side walls and causes said side walls to remain in an upstanding and rigid position when subjected to the weight of the nursing bottle. As is also illustrated in Fig. l, the bottle 6 when in position, is inclined at an angle from the horizontal thereby facilitating the flow rjhis inclination of the bottle at an angle from the horizontal'is due to the fact thatthe height of the side wall 3 is greater than the height of the side wall 2 although, as is manifest, the same result may be attained by varying the depth of the cut-away portions 4t and 5.

As is obvious, it is not essential that the material of the holder be of vuicanized fiber and these words in the appended claims are to be interpreted as meaning not only vulcanized fiber but any other analogous flexible and cheap material such as paper which will permit the holder to be constructed from a single and integral piece or blank of material.

lVie do not-desire to limit the invention tothe rivets 8 for fastening the ends or tabs 7 together as they may be fastened together by any other means, nor do we desire to limit the invention to the safety pins 13 for fastening the device to the infants dress as hooks or any other fastening means may be employed. Our invention also is not limited to other details of construction herein shown and described, such being for the purpose of illustration only, but various modifications may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

What we claim as our invention is 1- l. A holder for nursing bottles constructed.

from a single, integral blank of vulcanized ber and comprising a base and side walls turned up and away from said base and adapted to support the nursing bottle thereon, said side walls having ends'or tabs joined together for holding said side walls in upstanding position.

2. A holder for nursing bottles Constructed from a single, integral blank of vulcanized fiber and comprising a base and side walls turned up and away from said base and provided with cut-away portions adapted to support the nursing bottle therein, said side walls having ends or tabs joined together for holding said side walls in upstanding position .and ai. strap carried by the holder and adapted to engage the nursing bottle and retain the same in the eut-away portions of said side walls.

3. A holder for nursing bottles consisting of a hase provided with slits, side walls adapted to support the nursing bottle there- -on and turned up substantially at right angles to said base and provided with ends or tahs fastened together for holding the side walls in upstanding position and a strap threaded through the slits in said base and adapted to engage the nursing bottle and retain the same in supported position on said side walls.

4. A holder for nursing bottles consisting of a base provided with slits, side walls integral with said base and provided with cutaway portions adapted to support the nursof a base provided with slits, side walls integ-ral with said base and turned up substantially at right angles thereto and provided with out-away portions adapted to support the nursing bottle in a position inelined at an angle from the horizontal, said f side walls having ends or tabs fastened together, an elastic strap threaded through the slits in said base and adapted to engage the bottle to retainthe saine in position in the out-away portions of said side walls and provided with loops or stops on the ends thereof and fastening means carried by said elastic strap for fastening the holder to the wearer thereof.
