Description

S. ABE, SLEEVE HOLDER. APPLICATION FILED JULY 24. 1920.
Patented Dec. 13, 1921 TED STATES SEIKICHI ABE, 013 DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
SLEEVE-HOLDER.
Application filed July 24,
simple construction which may be readily attached and which will securely hold the parts of the sleeve in their adjusted positions. Other objects of the invention reside in the novel features of construction and combinations of parts as more fully hereinafter set forth.
In the drawings:
Figure 1 is a sectional elevation of a construction embodying my invention;
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a sleeve holder.
The sleeve holder comprises the cooperating members 1 and 2. The member 1 is preferably formed of a non-elastic material such as celluloid, hard rubber, etc., and comprises the base 3 and the head 4 with the in termediate neck 5. The member 2 is an annulus or band preferably formed of a resilient material such as elastic rubber, the
normal diameter of which is less than the diameter of the head a. The members 1 and 2 are preferably secured to each other by the flexible connections 6.
ln use, the member 1 is placed beneath the fold 7 of the sleeve with the head 4 in engagement with the fold, and the resilient annulus or band 2 is then expanded and Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Dec. 13, 1921.
1920. Serial No. 398,668.
slipped over the head 4; and around the neck 5, engaging the fold of the sleeve.
Preferably, two holders are employed upon a sleeve and at opposite sides thereof, these two. holders being also secured to each other by the flexible connections 6.
It will be readily seen from the above description that the holders are very simple in construction and cheap to manufacture. Moreover, they can be readily attached, and when attached, will firmly hold the parts of the sleeve in their adjusted positions. Still another important consideration is that the holders will not bind upon the arm of the wearer and hinder the blood circulation.
What I claim as my invention is:
l. A sleeve holder comprising a member adapted to be positioned beneath the fold of a sleeve and having a base, a head and a connecting neck of reduced diameter, and an endless band having its normal interior diameter of less length than the diameter of the head and capable of being stretched over the head to engage the fold around the neck.
2. In combination with a pair of sleeve holders each comprising a member adapted to be positioned beneath the fold of a sleeve and having a base, a head and a connecting neck of reduced diameter, and an endless resilient band having its normal interior diameter of less length than the diameter of the head and capable of being stretched over the head to engage the fold around the neck, and flexible connections between said holders. 7
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature.
SEIKIGHI ABE.
