With these and other objects in view the invention resides and consists in the construction and novel combination and ar-' rangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and pointed out in the claims hereto appended, it being understood that various changes in the form, proportion, size and minor details of construction within the scope of the claims may be resorted to without departure from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of the invention.

As will be noted, my present invention is designed so as to preferably be made of one piece of metal, and formedby casting the same in a suitable mold with the use of cores of the required size properly placed so that a complete plate can be made with one pouring of metal and so as to require but a slight amount of work to finish the surface.
In the drawing, 10 represents the straight upperportion of the plate, having a top operating surface 11, which is reinforced and strengthened wholly upon the underside by suitable bridges and intermediate support-V ing posts, all of which may be made comparatively light and are specially arranged and shaped to give to the completedarticle the required amount of rigidity. The legs 12 upon which the plate is supported are also formed integral with the body of the plate and their bottom ends are finished so as to be spaced equal distances from the operating surface of the plate.

and may include a single wall forming a curved bowl-like bridge, producing a single chamber in which are positioned a series of vertical posts 14 that extend from the inner wall of the bridging up to the underside of the top portion of the plate, in away to strengthen the same, or it may include a series of such curved reinforcing bowllike walls which intersect'one with the other to form a series of compartments 15 and 16 that are also provided with posts to support and strengthen the structure.
