Be it known that l, flirroivrns J. NORGELL, a citizen of the United States of America, residino' at Alois, in the county ot llililwaulee and tatate ot W is., have invented certain new and usetul Improvements in Envelope, of which the following a specification, reiterenee beingl had therein to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to envelops., and the primary object oli my invention is to provide an envelop that may he used. when open7 as a letter sheet, the envelop being` in the torni oi a folder on which may be printed, Written or otherwise placed matter which will loe concealed when the envelop is closed. T he folder also provides an inclosure in which matter may be placed to acconr pany the printed or written matter.
Another object of my invention is to provide an envelop oit the ahove type with a plurality ot sealing flaps Which will prevent the envelop from being surrevititiously opened or tampered with Without detection.
A further object of my invention is to provide combined envelops and letter sheets that may be easily and quickly stamped or out from sheet paper or other material and readily folded to provide sate and Afirst class mailing matter.

The letter sheet and envelop comprise a substantially rectangular sheet'having portions 10, 11, 12 and 13, with the portions 12 and 13 ot a size for matched parallel registration With the portions 10 and 11, this heing accomplished by folding on the dotted line indicated 111.

The portion 11 has an auxiliary flap 17 which may loe guu'uned and both sides ot the portions 12 and 13 may contain Written or printed matter, also the inner sides ot the portions 10 and 11. Aritter the portions 12 and 13 are folded on to the portions 1() and 11 then the parallel portions are folded on the dotted line indicated 18. The flap 16 can then he tolded on to the outer side or the por tion 11 and the flap 15 folded and sealed on the flap 16 and the portion 11.
The auxiliary flap 17 is then folded on to the outer or front side ot the portion 10, and it not gumined, may he held in place hy an ordinary postage stamp indicated 19. The envelop it not previously addressedr1 may novv he addressed and is ready Jr'or the mail.
A comhined envelop and letter sheet cornprising a rectangular portion adapted to he folded into parallel registration to provide letter sheets, and such sheets folded into parallel registration to envelop size so that one portion of one letter sheet forms the hack of the envelop and the other portion of the saine sheet the front ot the envelop, a trian guiar shaped tlap carried by the entire Jtree end edge of the front portion of the envelop7 a triangular shaped flap carried by a portion ot the longitudinal edge of the front portion of the envelop, and hoth ot said flaps adapted to he folded on to the rear portion of the envelop to occupy a triangular space at one end thereoitl and overlap each other with the last .mentioned Hap retaining the rst mentioned -flap in a folded closed position, and an auxiliary flap on a portion of the free longitudinal edge oit the hack portion ot the envelop adapted to he folded over that portion of the tree longitudinal edge of the front portion ot the envelop unoccupied by the second mentioned iiap, and he sealed against the front portion ot said envelop.
