Be it known that I, CHARLES KoLIN, a citizen of the United States of America and a resident of Rochelle, county of Ogle, tate of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Dry-Cleaning Apparatus, of which the following is a specification.

The purposes of this invention are to providea convenient device for the use of garment cleaners in employing cleaning fluids such as gasolene, alcohol, ammonia, etc., or mixtures ofsuch fluids. Another purpose of the invention is toprovide in such a cleaning apparatus means for warming the cleaning fluid by some such simple means as a container for hot water which the cleaning pan proper surmounts. The advantage of warming the cleaning fluid is that its action is better than atnorm'al temperature, and further that cleaning fluids commonly employed are less injurious to the hands of the workman if warmedsomewhat above normal temperature.

The objects of the invention are accomplished by the device shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of a cleaning apparatus constructed according to this invention.

The general arrangement of the design is a sheet metal receptacle having a lower compartment for hot water with a suitable inlet and drain, and an upper compartment, the floor of which forms a suitable surface for supporting garments during the cleaning operation, and is inclined toward a depressed part of the floor to receive sediment. Valve controlled drainage means communicates with the sediment collector. The upper compartment supports above the liquid level, a drainage basket for receiving the cleaned garments.

I claim: I

1. A dry cleaning apparatus consisting of an open pan relatively long and shallow, having the bottom inclined longitudinally at a slight angle and having a settling and sediment pocket in the lower. end, the

2. A dry cleaning apparatus comprising an open pan for a cleaning fluid, the pan having a floor, which isv inclined toward one end, said floor having a depression at its lower end, and an outlet for said depression.

3. A dry cleaning apparatus conslsting of an open pan for a cleaning fluid, surmounting a closed container for a heating fluid, said closed container having an opening for an inlet in the front side of the higher part and adrain in the end of the floor.

, 4. A dry cleaning apparatus comprising an openpan surmounting a container for the heating fluid, said pan having a floor which is inclined toward one end and a strainer at the lower end of said floor.

5. A dry cleaning apparatus comprising an open pan for a cleaning fluid, surmounting a container for a heating fluid, the pan having a floor which is inclined toward one 10 end, said floor having a depression at its lower end, and a strainer covering said depression.
