To all who-m it may concern:
Be it known that I, Gnoncn WILLIAM TXWER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cranston, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Settings for Jewelry, of which the follow-v cluster setting.
My invention has reference to an improvement in settings for articles of jewelry and more particularly to an improvement in that form of settings known as cluster settings.
The object of my invention is toimprove the contruction of settings for jewelry whereby a cluster setting is formed of a plurality of continuous settings all formed integral, from a sheet metal blank, thereby eliminating the use of solder or other means, for securing the plurality of settings together.
A further object of my invention is to reduce the cost of manufacturing such settings.
My invention consists in the peculiar and novel construction of a cluster setting in which the plurality of settings have a continuous wall, and are all formed integral, said setting having details of construction, as will be more fully set forth hereinafter and claimed.

The setting is constructed from a sheet metal blank in the form of a disk, as shown in Fig. 4; The blank is: placed in suitable dies, the blank cupped'and the bottom out out leaving a wall in the form of a ring having the angular stone seat 12 and stone securing lip 13, as shown in Figs. 6 and 7. This ring or partly formed up setting is then placed in suitable dies and formed into a plurality of settings having continuous walls and all formed integral, as shown in Figs. 1, 2, and 3.
It is evident that the number of the settings all formed integral, could vary and that the form of the settings could be square, oblong, diamond-shapedand that they could be placed in various pos'tions to form different designs, as desired.
I By the use of my improved construction in settings, a plurality of settings of any desired shape are all formed'integral thereby eliminating. solder or other means for securing the plurality of settings together.
.Having thus described my invention I claim as new 1. A cluster setting for articles of jewelry consisting of a central setting and a plurality of surrounding settings allformed integral of a single continuous wall, each of the settings forming a complete prongless setting, said single continuous wall being in the form of an upright with the seats in the edge of the band.
