To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ROBERT N. SHELLEY, a citizen of the United States, and residing at Newark, in the county of Esse'xand State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Towel- Paper Holders, of which the following is a specification, such as will enable those skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

Having fully described my, invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

' 1. In a device of the class described, a casing provided with a hinged door and an aperture, towel papersupported therein and adapted to pass through said aperture, a drum detachably and rotatably mounted in said casing, a roller resiliently and rotatably mounted in connection with the door of said casing andbetween which and said drum' the paper is adapted to ass, a yoke-shaped frame pivotally mounted within the casing and provided with a cross head member in connection with which the paper operates and side members having at the ends thereof upwardly directed teeth, the cross head a member of said frame being normally supv ported in a raised position, and stop devices connected with said drum whereby when the paper is withdrawn from said casing said drum is rotated and said cross head member depressed to raise the ends of the side members so that the teeth thereon will be engaged by the sto devices on said drum after a predetermine amount of said paper has been withdrawn from. saidcasing.

2. A holder for towel paper, comprising a casing, adapted to support a. roll of paper and provided with an aperture to permit the passage of said paper therefrom, said 1; casing being provided with ahinged door and said roll of paper being supportedv in tension devices, a drum detachably and rotatably mounted in said casing, a roller resiliently; and rotatably mounted in connection with the door of said casing and between which and said drum the paper is adapted to pass, a yoke-shaped frame pivotally mounted within the casing and provided with a cross head member. in connection with which the paper operates and side members having at the ends thereof upwardly directed teeth, the cross head member of said frame being normally supported in a raised position, and stop devices connected with said drum 1: whereby when the paper is withdrawn from said casing said drum is rotated and said cross head member depressed to raise the ends of the side members so that the teeth thereof will be engaged by the stop devices 15 drum, a roller in operative connection with said drum and between which and said drum 6 the paper passes, and a member pivotally mounted in said casing and in connection with which the paper operates to move the same into operative relation with said stop devices to stop the rotation of said drum in the operation of Withdrawing the paper from saidcasing.

4. In a device of the class described, a casing adapted to support aroll of'paper therein, a roller mounted in. said casing, a weighted drum rotatably' mounted in said casing and adapted to operate in connection with said roller and between which and said roller the paper passes, stop devices connected with the ends of said drum, and a member pivotally mounted in said casing and in connection with which the paper operates to move the same into operative relation with said a stop devices to stop the rotation of said drum in the operation of withdrawing the paper from said casing;

A" holder for towel paper comprising a casing adapted to support a roll of paper and provided with an aperture to permit of-the passage of said paper therefrom, a weighted drum mounted in said casing, a roller yieldably mounted in said casing and in operativeconnection with said drum and between which and said drum the paper passes, a stop member pivoted in said casing and provided with a cross head member in connection with which the paper operates, side members the ends of which are provided with enlarged head portions and stop devices secured to' said drum and adapted to operate in connection with the enlarged head portions of said stop member whereby when the paper is withdrawn from said casing said drum is rotated and said stop member depressed to bring the enlarged head portions thereof into operative relation with said stop devices to stop the rotation of'said drum.

6. In a device of the class described, a
