STEAM-GENERATOR.
Application filed February 1, 1915.
To all whom t may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES RADIGUER, citizen of the French Republic, residing at -St.-Denis, Department of the Seine, France,
have invented' certain new and useful Improvements in or Relating to Steam-Generators; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to whichV it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to improvements in water tube steam generators and has for its object to provide means for facilitating the discharge from the purifier of water affluxions which may take place at certain times. According to this invention the tubes of the boiler are continued into the purifier in such a manner that the tube of one coil enters the purifier above the level of the liquid in the purifier, while the other tube, which has an oblique extremity, just reaches the said level. By this arrangement, a portion of the water contained in the purifier enters the lowermost part of the oblique extremity of the tube of the upper convolution and descends facilitating thereby the discharge from the purifier at the time of water affluxions.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 shows a part sectional end view of a steam generator according to the invention while, Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the purifier on an enlarged scale.
Referring to the drawings:-C is lthe lower collector7 D is the lower box, A and B are the lower and upper coils, respectively, E and F are the upper boxes connected with the purifier by means of the tubes 3 and 8.

Serial No. 5,557.V
The tubes through which steam is discharged from the elements, are screwed into the purifier 1 which is reinforced by a sheet metal plate 2. The outlets 3 of the upperl a purifier, and steam outlet pipes for the upper tubes of each element, said outlet pipes projecting into the purifier and having oblique extremities inclined from front to rear and ending flush at the front of the bottom of the purifier.
2. In steam generators composed of elements having two coils, the combination of a purifier, steam outlet pipes for the upper tubes of each element, the said outlet pipes projecting into the purifier and having oblique extremities inclined from front to rear and ending flush at the front of the bottom purifier, and a baffle plate placed over each outlet pipe slightly above the extremity thereof.
In testimony whereof I afx my signature, in presence of two witnesses.
