The device is shown as provided. with a handle made up of a piece of sheet metal 10 wound around the butt ends of the wires making up the blade of the heater and soldered in position around their ends, and provided with a wire 11 coiled around the same and soldered in position thereto. This makes a flat handle of a durable kind all metallic and suficiently rough on the outside so that it is not likely to slip in the hand.

Each of the wires 12 extends through the handle in the same way between the two ends of the wire 13 and is co-extensive therewith at that point, but at the other end it extends, only to the loop-shaped end of the wire l?) to which it is fastened by being soldered, welded or otherwise secured to it.

In the preferred form of the invention shown these wires12 are made substantially straight throughout the principal part of their length, but are slanted downwardly away from the plane of the center of the handle, those at the center of the article being slanted more than those near the sides. But at a pointnear their ends they are all curved upwardly and inwardly except the center one which doesnot have to be curved inwardly or sidewise but is curved upwardly. Their extreme ends at 14; are all brought into. contact with the center of the loop of thewirel3 and secured in the pres ent instance to the outside surface of that wire by means of solder, or by being welded to it. The treatment to which they are sub jected in fastening them embeds them somewhat in the wire so that they are not easily pushed sidewise by coming into contact with any obstacle. i y t On account of the shape given the various wires, it will be seen that the egg whip as a whole is spoon-shaped so that it can be used for taking boiled eggs out of hot water, or in fact for lifting vegetables and other Consequently it serves the purpose of a spoon which, being of skeleton form, is instantly drained. Its principal purpose, however, is to be used as an egg whip in the ordinary way, and its utility for this purpose is not reduced by the spoon shape which is given it. On the contrary, it is rather increased because the edge wire 13, which may be made larger and more rigid than the others, is located right in front of the next wire 12, and the second wire 12 is offset only a little from it when the article is used on an ordinary beater or whip. Another advantage of the open sided spoon shape is that the inside portion can 'be reached very readily for cleaning, this being especially useful on account of the frequent use of the article for beating eggs and batter.

Although I haye illustrated and described only a 'sin' lefoi m ofthe invention, 1am aware of lie fact that modifications "can be made therein by any person skilled in the art Without departing from the scope of the invention as expressed in the claims.

Therefore I do not Wi h to be limited to all the details of construction herein shown and described, but what I'claim 'is:

1. As an article of manufacture, an egg hip comprising a blade or bowl with a dcp'r'essed center and its sides substantially in a plane raised from said center, made up of a. plurality of Wires, the wires located between the side ones being connected with the side ones at one end to form a handle, and having their outer ends secured to the Otter side of the outer Wire at the -'1oo "en;1thereof in contact with each other along its outer surface.

2. As an article of manufacture, an Whip consisting of a handle and a plurality of Wires extending from the end thereof, their opposite ends all being connected together atone point, said Wires being straight throughout most of their 'leng'th, separated at intermediate points and curved so "as to constitute a blade or bowl of concave form, and'by reason of their long straightportions being sufiiciently flexible to constitute aii'elficient egg Whip.

3. 4.
