SHAVING- SET.
Speecation of Letters Patent.
Patented Feb. 2e, 191s.
Application led July 6, 1917.. Serial No. 178,967.
1 'o aZZ whom, t may concern.'
Be it known that I, ALBERT WOLF, a citizen of the United States, residing at Traverse City, in the county of Grand Traverse anni State of Michi an, have in vented 'certain .new and uscul Im rove ments in Shaving 'Sets'. of which the ollowinisa specification.
his'invention relates to toilet articles and has special reference `to shaving Sets, the object of the invention being to rovide in compact form means for ermitt ng' the easy carrying of a shaving rush, shaving soap anA toilet powder. The invention sei-ks to provide a construction which will permit the articles to be detachably con nected and in closed when not in use and readily separated when desired for use.
In the accompanying c lrnwings:
Figure l is a side elevation of a toilet article embodying my invention;
Fig. 2 is a` longitudinal section of the same;
Fig. 3 is a detail view of the brush 'removed;
Fig. 4 is a detail view of the shaving soap and its holder removed;
Fig. 5 is a similar View of the'toilet powder container;
Fig. 6`isan enlarged diametrioal section through the upper end of the powder container., r
In carrying'out my invention, I employ drical handle 2 which is hollow and is 'internally threaded at one end, as shown atV 3, and at its opposite end, adjacent the bristles, is externall threaded, as shown at 4. The soap holder consists of a ring 5 having a transverse partition 6 against which theend of the soap stick 7 may rest and4 at one `side`o`tlie said partition the ring is 'internally threaded@ engage the external threads u on a sleeve'S which is. adapted to t over the shaving brush land is internally threaded at one end to enga e the exter-nal threads on the shavin brils handle; This. sleeve 8 is provided'wlth perforations 9 nearits4 ends vso as to permit .ventilation of the brush and vprevent moisture bein'grr tained therein to an injurious de e. e vrngg is constructed to fit close y around the soa *stick 7,'as shown at 10, and upon threads 1 which may e en by inter-f and easily Y which is adapted to lit other the stick and protect the samefroin deposits of dust or other germ-carrying elei'nents The ,powf der 4container or receptacle lil-is externall threaded, as shown at 14, near its basal en so as to engage the internal threads 3 ofthe brush handle, and immediately adjacent the said threads 14 the container may be'annularly expanded to-provide a stopl When the article is not in une the powder container will be housed within the handle 2 of the brush and the brush will be inclosed and protected by a sleeve which constitutes a connection between'- the brush handle' and the soap holder and the soap will heprotested 'and inelosed by a cap fitting thereon.
and closely en aging the holder. It will thus be seen tint vthe several articlesgare eiiectually protected against the' collection of dirt or other foreign matter and y'et'are readily accessible .when needed for rises. 'The powder container may he left in the brush andle until after the o eration of shaving has been com letcd an will then forni' a firm support or the brush 'so that it may be placed 'u on the lavatory inran upright ositioz; an will notbe left to roll aroun the same and possibly fall upon the floor.
few turns of the cap and-of the soap holder will serve .to separate them from each. other and from the brush so that they may be instantly arran 'ed for use and the protecting sleeve aroun Athe brush ma lbe as withdrawn there om. aste of aioklyV the toilet owder will be prevented by the presence o the. collar 18 over the. disc ar e end of the container but the collar may e easil and quickly removed when it is dei sire to use the 'owden ,The device is 'exeeedingiy simp i rangement of its parts end will retain them ncompact form so that 1t will be fonnclv convenient for travelers.
. avi thus described the invention,- what is claims asnew is: y
