Be it known that l, CHAnLns lvlolnnvn's,
a Citizen of che Uniiecl Stoies, residing et Jersey City, county or" Hudson, and State of New Jersey, have invented an Improvementin Vehicle-Lamps, of which the following is a. specification. i I
My present invention relates to o vehicle lamp and particularly to lamps of this type lo in which electric lights are employed, und
provided with a cup oi' cover of more or less ,translucent material to overcome the glare in ordinary vehicle lamps, The object of my invention is the provision of e vehicle l5 rlamp of iis type' in Wliicn the lomp bulli and electrical connections by which i?. is son ported may loe removed from the lamp :incl
when desired employed for ligliling pur- 'poses in making repairs Where necessary in 2o the event no other light is available.
ln carrying out nay, invention l employ n lamp case preferably tted'witli a reflector and having e shoulder in the axial center of [the lamp edoptefl toect as e socket :for the 25 base of an electric light bulb and the eleotrcel connecions to the same. Together Y with hese features, :incl as heieinbei'ore indicatecl, l also employ a clip or cover t'or the electric lamp bulb :ind means for supporting;

Fig. 2 is a similar View showing o. moelieo ecl form of the invention, onli.
Fie: 3 is a pion of elle cop enel o support member therefor showing 'the manner in v*which these ports are eonneetecl.
Referring to fthe drawing' and pnifiicw .5,5 larly to Figs. l and 3, in carrying out liis invention l employ e lamp cose or shell im clieeted et l0 and Inode of inetsl in the usuel Congurulion. fliiially this lamp Case is provided with n slioulcler ll'onrl is tecl 5g with a relecor indicated at l2. I claim asJny invention:
1. In a vehicle lamp a case, a sleeve :removably mounted in said case and having sockets at Iboth ends thereof, a socket for a cup member associated with the inner end of the sleeve and adapted to prevent the outward movement thereof, and means associated with the sleeve exteriorly of the case for normally preventing the inward movement of the sleeve.
2. In a vehicle lamp a case, a sleeve removably mounted in said case and having sockets at both ends thereof, a socket for a cup member associated with the inner end of the sleeve and adapted to prevent an outward movement thereof, and a collar mounted on the sleeve exterior of the case for normally preventing an inward movement of the sleeve.
3. In a vehicle lamp, a case, a. sleeve mounted axially in the said case and provided with sockets at the ends thereof, an electric light bulb, the base of which is receivable in thesocket at the inner end of the sleeve, a cup member surrounding the sald light bulb, means lassociated with the sleeve for securin the cup 'member in position, and means Aor securing the'sleeve in position relatively to the case.
4. In a vehicle lamp, a case, a sleeve pass-f ing through a bore provided axially in the case and fitted within the case With a cup base, an electric lamp bulb, the base of which is fitted into the sleeve at the inner end thereof Within the case, a cup surrounding the light bulb and adapted to be received and held in place in the said cup base, and means forl securing the said sleeve and cup base in position relatively to the said case.
v5. In a vehicle lamp, a case having a shoulder thereon with a bore in the axial center of the case, a -sleeve adapted to fit the saidbore and provided at one end thereof With a cup base, a reflector `Within the case and against which when in position the cup base contacts, a Contact plug Within the sleeve, an electriclight bulb, the base of which is received in the socket providedv therefor at the inner end of the sleeve, a cup surrounding the light bulb and held in position in the said cup base, and a collar surrounding fthe said sleeve exteriorly of the case and adapted to bear against the end of the said shoulder to maintain the sleeve and cup base with the lamp and cup in their relative positions.
