To all whom t may concern.'
Be it known that we, JACOB C. LARSEN, 'al subject of the King of Denmark, and GEORGE T. JOHNSON, a citizen of the United States, and residents of Columbus, inthe county of Franklin and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Six-Wheel-Truck Constructions for Railway-Cars; and we do hereby declare the following tobe a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertainsto make and use the same.
This invention relates to an improvement in six wheel truck construction for railway cars.
The object of theinvention is to provide a system of separate holster units which w1l1 transmit both the side and center hearing loads properly to the truck frame, and also a construction which will permit of the easy .removal and replacement of the center axle and its wheels. a c

invention consists in auxiliary holsters ex-4 tending transversely o the truck, a longitudinal holster at each side of the truck and supported by the transverse holsters and a main center holster supported adjacent its ends hy the longitudinal holsters.

The invention is applicable for use with any six wheel truck, and while wehave illustrated one form of side frame in connection with our improvement, we have done so for the purpose of illustration only, and not with the intention oflimiting our invention to such, or any other particular construction of side frame.
7 represents the truck side frames, there being two to each side with their adjacent ends overla ping, as shown in Fig. 1 for the connection therewith of the frames 8 carrying .the bearing for the center axle 9.. Each side frame 7 has a bearing for a journal of an end axle 10, and each is also provided with an opening 11 for the reception of oneA end of a transverse or auxiliary holster 12, each bolster 12 being yieldingly'supported adjacent its ends, on springs 13 seated within said openings 11. The transverse holsters 12 are located as shown, one betweenfthe front'and middle, axles, and the other between rear and middle axles, and each is provided with two openings 14, shown in Figs. 2 and 4, forthe reception of the ends of the longitudinal bolster 15,'ea'ch .of the latter being supported at its ends by the transverse holsters 12.
The main bolster 16 is, in the Vpresent instance, located over the central axle 7, and is supported at its opposite ends inopenings 20 in the two longitudinal holsters 15.
