IMPROVEMENT IN BUCKLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 125,315, dated April 2, 1872.
Specification describing an Improved Harness-Buckle invented by UHARLES MAXWELL and JOHN G. LINDNER, both of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York.
This invention consists in a novel construction of two or more buckles formed on one frame, as hereinafter described.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 is a plan or top view of my improved buckle.
Fig. 2 is a side View of the same.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both figures.
The example represented in the drawing, shows three buckles formed on one frame. A is the frame which is formed to constitute three bows, a a, for three buckles. Each bow is provided on opposite sides with pairs of lugs 12 b, which are bent over to form bearin gs for the journals of the loop tongues G 0. At the junction of these bows with one another there are projecting pins or legs 0 c, which serve to support a rosette, D E. The loop tongues 0 consists of loops cl, with tongues 0, formed on their forward portions, and they are provided with pivots or journals which are supported in the bearings formed by the lugs b b Claim.
