The oil so vaporized passes up in bubbles through the oil Well and is trapped by the hood and fed directly to the mixing chamber through the orifice. As the capacity of the receptacle is comparatively small and the heating coil is comparatively large it only takes a few seconds to vaporize the oil in the receptacle and consequently it is possible with this device to start the engine almost instantaneously even Where an oil such as kerosene or coal oil is used.
