To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HENRY Loos, of Law-.
rence, in the county of Douglas and State of Kansas, have invented a new and Improved Soap Compound; and 1 do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact descripj'tion thereof, which will enable thoseskilled in the art to make and-use the same.
This invention relates to a medicated soap, which is prepared of whaleoil, palm-oil; caustic potash lye, caustic soda lye, liquid silicate of soda, .spiritsiof ammonia, and spirits of cam hor. These ingredients are mixed together 111 about the following proportions: whale-oil, fifty parts; palm-oil, fifty parts; caustic-potash lye of 17 Baum, one hundred and fifty parts'icaustie-soda lye of 25 Baum,
five parts;- liquid silicate of soda of 32, sixteen parts; spirits of ammonia,- two parts; spirits of caniphor, two parts. j -By mixing these in gredients together asoap is obtained which has superior detergent properties and which acts beneficially to the skin.
What I claim as new a-nd desire to secure by Letters Patent-,- is- A soap compound made of the ingredients herein described, and mixed together about t in the proportion specified.
