Beit known that` I, CHARLES BUnAr, Aa subject of the King of Hungary, residing' at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sponge-Retaining and Tater-Supplying. Devices to be Ape .plied to the Heads of Horses, of which the following is a specification.

The present invention relates to new and useful improvements in means for securing and applying water to the sponge when applied to the head of a horse.

In summer months, when horses become over-heatedby the hot rays of the sun, it has been the usual practice to apply a cold wet sponge to the head of the horse, and it is an object of the present invention, to pro p' as leather or the like.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a device of the aforesaid character, comprising a comparatively few" parts, which may readily be assembled and applied tothe head of the horse, and which will be comparatively inexpensive in the cost of manufacture, thereby, rendering the same commercially desirable.

With the above and'other objects in view, the invention consists of the novel features of construction, combination, and arrangement of parts, as will be hereinafter fully described and particularly pointed out in the `appended claims.
