*FIEr-J John 0% Plumber W N/mm all whom it may concern: f Be it known that I, SEvnRn'I M. HAUGE, a citizen of the United States, residing at ort'Dodge, in the county of Webster and State of Iowa, have invented certain new lng medium or name plate for the plumber.

Another object of the invention is to provide a toilet paper holder which can be readily connected by the bolt used for holding the seat on the bowl, and to thus obviate the necessity of boring in the tiled walls of a fire-proof building to support the bracket or holder. r

Still another object of the invention is to provide a holder which can be quickly operated for supporting a roll of paper.

These and other objects may be attained by means of the construction illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 1 is a front elevation of a toilet paper holder supported upon the seat of a toilet bowl, Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the paper holder unsupported, and on a larger scale than Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 is an edgeview of the same.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates the frame of a holder asan entirety, said frame comprising the vertical members 2 and 3 connected by a cross bar 4 at the top, and provided with an inwardly bent pintle 5 upon the member 2. The member 3 is bent outwardly to form a supporting arm or bracket, provided with a loop 6 which may be used to accommodate the bolt which'secures the seat to the bowl and which may also serve to support the paper holder. The parallel arms or members 7 and 8 are slightly twisted or disposed in such a manner as to hold the'frame portion of the holder in a vertical position when secured by the bolt, and the member 8 is provided wit a hook 9 at its inner end, the bill of said hook lying in contact with the inner portion of the member 3;. invention may readily be formed of wire of the required gage at very slight expense, while the advantages of the construction described are many. and important, especially in fire proof buildings, since the holder can be" readily installed without requiring an extra amount of labor in attaching the same.

Various changes may be made in construction, combination, and arrangement of parts without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the claims,

What is claimed is:

1. A toilet paper holder comprising a Wire frame provided with an inwardly extendin pintle, a spiral spring for supporting a roll of paper permanently connected at one end to said frame, and adapted to be compressed for attachment to said pintle.
