'My invention'has for its object to furnish animproved paint-brush, which shall he so constructed as tofretain the paint in such a way that itwill not en: crust and become useless, and which will prevent the brush from drying, so that it will not need to be washed, thus saving much time and annoyance to the artist; and

It consists in the construction and combination of the various parts of the brush, as. hereinafter more fully described.

A is the handle, to the lower end of which is'se curely attached a screw-cap, B, which screws upon the upper end or niouth' of the reservoir'G.

I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent-- V 1. The combination of the handle A, screwy-cap B, reservoir O, b'rush D, spring F, and cap G, with each other, whether the conductor'E be used or not, su'h stantially as herein shown and described, and for'the purposeset forth. r

2. The combination of the lamp-wick E, or equivalent conductor, with the brush D, spring F, reservoir 0, cap B,;handle A, and cap G, substantially ashorein-shown and described, and for the purpose set forth.
