To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, DAVID F. THOMSON, a subject of the King of Great Britain, and a resident of Cambridge, in the county 0 Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented an Improvement in Display Devices, of which the following description, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification, like characters on the drawings representing like parts.

This invention relates to display devices, such for example as are used for advertising purposes.

The character of the invention may be best understood by reference to the following description of an illustrative embodiment thereof shown in the accompanying drawing, wherein:

Referring to the drawing, the illustrative display device there shown comprises .upright members a and I; having portrayed thereon representations of human figures typified herein as a boy and a girl. To enable the upright members to stand in erect position they may be flexibly connected by a member 0.

The device may be of a plurality of separate members hinged together or may be conveniently died out of a sheet of cardboard or other suitable material, and scored on lines e and f to permit the upright figure bearing members to be folded in offset or tandem relation, so that one figure is in advance of the other. When thus folded, the device is in a self-sustaining erect position. The figures are portrayed as in postures for sustaining an article between them. in the illustrative device shown, the boy and girl are relatively positioned to bring the right shoulder of one in line with the left shoulder of the other to support the article their hands being raised on their shoulders,

1. A device for displaying. an article of merchandise comprising upright members, one offset from and in advance of the other,
