I'innu and WILLIAM NOTTBERG, citizens of the United States, residing at Kansas City, in the county'of Jackson 'and State of Missouri', have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Frost-Removers, of .which the following is a specification. I
Our invention relates to improvements in frost removers.
The object of our invention is to provide a simple and efficient mechanism for remov- `ing frost, snow or ice from. window panes,

Supported by the-body is an ordinary air pump such as is commonly employed in air -brake mechanisms, The pump, which is designated by 3 is connected by a vconductor 4, having a check valve 5, with a receiver 6 which is connected with a conductor 7 which includes a Chamber 8 and a flexible discharge portion 9 having a nozzle 10. In the operation. of our invention the air passing from the pump 8 to the receiver 6 b way of the conductor 4 and past the c eck valve 5, and from the receiver to the Chamber 8 is heated in the chamber 8 and escapes from the discharge-portion 9 by way of the nozzle 10. If the nozzle is drawn downwardly to a position in which the heated air can impinge against the pane 21, any frost, snow or ice thereupon will be melted,
so as to permit the motorman to look f through the window. After the snow, ice
or frost has been cleared from the window.

In a frost remover, a car, a tank carried by' the Acar and adapted to contain air under pressure, a conductor connected with said tank and having a nozzle arranged to discharge air against a window pane, means pressure, a conductor'con'nected With said tank and having a nozzle arranged to discharge'air against a Window pane, means for controlling the flow of air through said conductor, and electrical means for 'heating said air.

In a frost remover, a car, a tank carried w fpressnre, a conductor connected Wlth said thereby and adapted to contain air under pressure, a conductor connected with said tank and having a nozzle arranged to discharge air against a Window pane, the conductor having a heating chamiber, electrical means in said Chamber for heating the same, and means for controlling the flow of air through said (conductor.
5. In a frost remover, a car, a conductor provided With a flexible portion having a nozzle, means carried by said car for supplying said conductor With air under pressure, means for heating said air, and yielding means for normally holding the nozzle in a raised position.
6. Ina frost remover, a car, a conductor having a nozzle, means carried by the car for supplying heated air under pressure to said nozzle through said conductor, and means for controlling the flow of air through Vsaid conductor. w
7. In a frost remover, a car, a conductor provided With a flexible` portion provided with a nozzle arranged to discharge air against a window pane, and means for sup- `means by' which said Weight normally lifts the nozzle to a raised position, and means for supplying heated air under pressure to said nozzle through said conductor.
9; In a frost remover, a car, a tank carried thereby and adapted to contain air under tank' and having a flexible portion provided With a nozzle, a valve for controlling the flow of air through said conductor, means for lheating the air passing through the conductor, and means carried by the car for supplying the tank with air under pressure.
10. In a frost remover, a car, a tank carried thereby and adapted to contain air under pressure, a conductor connected With said tank and having a fiexible portion providedv with a nozzle, a valve in said conductor controlling the -fioW of air therethrough, means for heating the air passing through the conductor, and yielding means for normally raising the nozzle to a raised position.
