, Inv use, the tape is threaded through the machine as shown and When it is desired to apply a portion thereof to a package 0r the like, the lever 19 is raised to raise the roller 13 to apply liquid to said tape before it passes about the roller 25. The handle is held in raised position and the application of the tape may be continuous until the desired amount has been applied, after which the handle 42 may be depressed when the spiral knife 36 --may sever the tape as is obvious. In applying the tape to a package, it is frequently desired to tilt themachine to Contact with the vertical sides of the package at Which time, the liquid vvillfiow from the trough l2 into'the chamber 1l in any position of the machine so. that the throat of the trough 12Will not form an outlet for any of theliquid except as applied bythe roller 13 when the machine is in horizontal position. Furthermore, the knife 36 cuts the tape at anangle to aiforda reduced i end on both ends of the tape so that the reduced end of the section of the tape applied to an article4 affords a moreperfect application of the tape, While thereducedy end remaining in; the machine .affords a guide to direct the tape for further application. i

Various modifications maybe made With respect to the several parts including the proportionsand relative positions of the several parts, Withoutldeparting from` the spirit of the invention and it is thought that the operation of the device is clear in view .of the foregoing.

Having thus described my invention, I claim:-

1. In a sealing machine, a frame, a handle formed on said frame, a series of rollers supported by said frame, said rollers being adaptedl to receive a sealing tape there about, a movably mounted moistening roller carried by said frame, said moistening roller being adapted to engage the sealing tape in one position thereof and to .be swung from engagement therewith inthe opposite position, andv a lever pivotally securedto said handle having communicationivvith said moistening roller.

2. In a sealing machine, a frame, a handleV formedon said frame, aseries of rollers supportedby said frame, said rollers being beingadapted to engage the sealing tape iiiV one position thereof and fall from engage-- ment therewith in the opposite position, a;
