IMPRClIEMENT IN APPARATUS FCR BOILING SUGAR, &c.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 115,395, dated May 30, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, IsAM VEST, of New Iberia, in the parish of Iberia and State of Louisiana, have invented a new and 'useful I Improvementin Boiling Sugar 5 andIdo hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and

Each of the pans is provided with one or more iiues, D, which, of course, are secured by tight joints through the walls of the pan, with the ends of the iiue or ues projecting, as seen at G in the drawing. These iiues are so made that they connect with the stationary fines so as to conduct the smoke and gaseous products of combustion back through the pans and fluid to the chimney H. By this arrangement it will be seen that two or more pans may be used, and pans may be added as may be required. This method results in a great saving of fuel, as well as of time, and a consequent diminution of the expense of boiling sugar.
