Application filed February 10. 1.915.
lle it known that 1. (Quentin ll. (inniun'r, citizen of the 'l nitcil States. residing at tsunhurv, in the county ol Northtimberland aml Slate ol Pennsylvania. have invented vertain new and useful lin n'oveinents in ta'now-llows: and l do hereby declare the 'lollowingr to he a full. clear, and, exact (lesr-riplion oi the invention. such as will en- ;\l)lt others skilled in the art to which it ap pertains to make anzl use the same.
My invention relates to snow plows, or ]1()\\"(ll'(lll.'(3U track cleaners for ren'ioving snow from railway tracks.
lt has for an object the cmistruction of an implement of the class (lQSCI'l OGLl which is at once simple and (lurahle in (,(illSll'llQllOlLlllll highly ellicient in the performance of its intended functions.
As a further object this invention contemplates and provides for a novel arrangement oi plow-shares or mold-boards, and of an atljustahle shunting hoard or slicing plate, whereby ch'il ts may be reaclily cut up, (li- \'i le(l antl tlelivered to either 01' both sides of the plow as occasion requires.
As a further object this invention pronovel. convenient and ellective means for throwi. said shunting board or slicing lilailc tron: one operative position to an other, means for ten'iporarily locking;- and relaining same in any of its aeljustecl positions. antl means for preventing cl i'l'ts, into which the plow may he forced. from suhmerging the plow, a nd also interfering with the view or the engine operator.
With these ancl other objects in view the present invention. will he liereinafteitpartimilarly described anti pointed outin the claims.
in the accompanying drawings which rorin part of this application for Letters atent. and whereon corresponding numerals refer to like parts in the several views: l igurc 1 is a sitie elevation ofmy invention in its entirety. mounted upon the rails of an ordinary railway track, and ready for use. Fig. 2 is a horizontal sectional View of the same taken on the line 22, Fig. 1, showing the bulk the structure in plan. Fig. 3 is also a horizontal sectional view taken on the line 3 3 ol? l. P is a detached in side elevation anon ieci "l said shunting securing said t as, and, Fig. 5 is a w hoa rm. am.
