Specification of Letters Patent. Application filed March 19, 1910 Seria'l No.
Patented Oct, '24., 1911. 550,450.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CARTER F. citizen of the United States, Chamois, of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Concrete Cement frosts, of which the following is a specifica- BUssE, a residing at the invention comprises certain combinations, constructions and arrangements of parts, clearly described in the followin mg a pluralityof bars specification and clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which-' I Figure 1 is a 'side elevation of the improved post, Fig. 2 is across section on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1, Fig. 3. is a transverse sectional view showing a modifiedform of spacing member, Fig. 4 is an elevation showand Figs. 5, 6, and
, are sectionsshowing spacing members, on
the lines 5 5, 66 and 7 Fig. ,4.
Referring to the accompanying drawings 7 respectively of illustrating the invention 1 denotes the con- .crete or cement body of the post, which is formed with a base portion 2, tapering inwardly to thelower e'ndithereof and a post portion'proper, 3, which tapers inwardly to the upper end.
in the county of Osage and State.
posts and embraces the conbetween the ends of the .and desire The body 1 is formed of any-shape and may have concave or convex sides or surfaces, as desired. ,Near the upper end of the body 1 and between ends thereof members 4, are embedded, which are provided for the purpose of holdthe upper and lowering the longitudinally extending tie bars spaced apart and for giving said barsa good connection when the post. is being molded or formed. 1
The members 4 are formed of a shape corresponding to the shape of the post and a number of said members may be embedded points andof different sizes. Tie bars 6 are'embedded in the body 1, extending from one and passed over or through the members 4.
The spacing members 4 may be all shaped.
rods 6 extend through said members to connect with the base 7 ,which is formed triangular. A central'tie bar 8. extends through the members 4 and the post.
Having described my. invention. I claim to secure by Letters'Patent:-'
triangular or only one so shaped. Thetie post at spaced;
end to the other end As an improved article of-manufacture,
a collapsible skeleton for crete posts, comprising a plurality of .triangular, tapering spacing members, adapted to support and space apart a centrally disposed tie rod, and a tie rodin each of their reinforcing contriangular extremities and a triangular-base the said tie rods 1]]. ad-
adapted to support justed position.
In testimony whereof I afiix in presence of two witnesses CARTER ntBUssE.
