Be it known'that I, LEVI Scorer, ot' Bui-gettst-own, 1Washington county, State of Pennsylvania, llave'invented an Improved -Churn-Dasher, with a central valve operating in its uprightlever and I do hereby declare the following to be an exact description thereof,

reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure l represents a vertical elevation oi' the churn;

and

Figure 2, a View of the dasher.

The vnatureof my invention consists in the conical' cylinder, with its central valve operating near the top of its upright hollow lever, and arranged and combined with a horizontal and octagon-shaped beater, for

the purpose oi' forcing air into ,the churn, separating the particles of cream, and hastening the butter.

A represents the upright tapering `body of the churn.

B, the dasher, (with eight apertures,) having four angular sides C C O C, and four circular sides, D D D D,'and the hollow upright lever or handle E in, the center.
