in order to prevent dirt and gravel :troni getting between the teeth of the inain Wheel and its pinion, and causing them to Wear out rapidly, the Wheel and pinion are inelosed in a casing which is made as nearly dirt proof as possible.
A stationary disk l of thin sheet metal is arranged on one side of the Wheel Z and its pinion. This disk i0 has a hole il in which the countershaft revolves, and itihas a hole 12 provided with a delige i3 Whicn is litted tightly over a projection lli on the -main frame around the inain shaft. rlhe periphery of the stationary disk 10 has a lateral dange l secured to' it, or :formed on it, and this .delige l5 incloses one edge of the toothed ring 7 and is fitted snugly'to it. Brackets 'i7' are provided for securing the stationary disk to the frame l at suitable A revolulole disk 18 of thin sheet Wheel Z and its pinion. This disk 18 has a hole 19 at its center'for the huh of the' ground Wheel to project through, and the disk is secured to a circumferential projection 20 on the said huh. What We claim is:

The combination, with a frame, a main shaft and a countershaiit carried by the fra-nie, a road Wheel mounted on the main shaft, an internal toothed Wheel` secured to the road Wheel, and a toothed pinion secured on the countershaft and gearing into the internal toothed Wheel; of a stationary disk provided with a peripheral ange which incloses one edge of the internal toothed wheel, said disk having holes for the said shafts, and a revolulole ,disk having its central portion secured to thehuh of the ground Wheel and having lits periphery secured to the interna-l toothed wheel.
