4. in an apparatus for drying fluid substances, etc., the combination of a drying chamber having a large opening in the iront end thereof, and a double all in the'rear end thereof, the inner one or said walls heing perforated, an endless metal band pessing into said chamber and partially closing said opening, rollers for supporting the hand, two of which ere located in the said large opening, so as to provide between them a freely locating straight portion of the handpineans for feeding milk to the said straight band portion near its in-going portion, means for scraping off the dried prodnot from thestraight hand portion near its out-co1ning portion, pipes for blowing" in superheated air at the front part of the chamber in parallel-current direction to the iii-going portion of the hand, pipes for blowing superheated air at the front part of the chamber in counter-current direction to the out-coming portion of the band, and outlet pipes for Withdrawing the moist air from the rear end of the chamber, one outlet pipe being inserted into the space between the double rear wall parts of the chamber, and another outlet pipe being inserted. through thea1 top wall. of'the chamher near its rear en in testimony whereof i have signed. my name tothis specification in the presence of two snhscrihing Witnesses JElifi OLE ANTONIO AMUNDSEN
